About the role:

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with Harrow primary schools to find a motivated Year 3 Teacher for September 2026, available full-time or part-time. Year 3 marks the start of Key Stage 2, and pupils arrive with varying levels of readiness from KS1. You will deliver the KS2 National Curriculum with skill and enthusiasm, ensuring a smooth transition while stretching pupils in reading, writing, mathematics and foundation subjects. You will plan engaging, differentiated lessons, track progress through formative and summative assessment, and collaborate with teaching assistants and SENCO staff to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
  • Primary teaching experience, ideally in lower KS2 or upper KS1
  • Confident knowledge of the KS2 National Curriculum
  • Strong literacy and numeracy subject knowledge
  • Skilled in differentiation for SEND, EAL and mixed-ability classes
  • Experience using assessment to plan effectively and track pupil progress
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection
