A welcoming Primary School in Barking & Dagenham is looking for a Receptionist & Admin Assistant to join their friendly office team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across two school sites in a varied and rewarding role supporting the day-to-day running of the school.

Please note: Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months' recent experience working in a school office or school reception environment. Candidates without school-based administrative experience will not be considered.

The role will include:

  • Answering and directing telephone calls
  • Welcoming parents, visitors and staff to the school
  • General administration and data entry
  • Maintaining accurate school records
  • Supporting the wider office team with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Providing excellent customer service to parents and visitors

As the successful Receptionist & Admin Assistant, you will have at least 6 months' experience working in a school office or reception, be confident using Microsoft Office, possess excellent communication and organisational skills, and be able to work professionally across two school sites.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months' recent school office or school reception experience (essential)
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and school administration systems
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A CV covering your employment and education history since leaving formal education, with all employment gaps explained
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK
