We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils within welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary schools. Whether you are an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or looking to take the next step into education, we have a range of flexible opportunities available to suit you. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil
- Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Disregulation
- Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
- Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets and support plans
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs
- Ideally hold minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
- Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
- Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and well-being
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
Pay:
- £93 per day for candidates with a minimum of 3 months experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or SEND setting.
- £105 per day for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have over 3 years experience supporting pupils with SEND including ASC, ADHD, SEMH or SLD or experience with personal care.
