A highly regarded 1-form entry primary school in Chiswick is seeking an ambitious and talented KS2 Teacher and English Lead to join their team from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term basis.

The Role
The successful candidate will:

Take responsibility for a KS2 class from September 2026

Deliver engaging and challenging lessons that enable all pupils to make strong progress

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, presentation, and achievement

Lead English across the school

Support the development of reading, writing, phonics, and oracy provision

Monitor standards and support curriculum development in English

Work with colleagues to share best practice and improve outcomes

Analyse pupil achievement data and help identify priorities for improvement

Contribute to staff development and school improvement initiatives

The specific KS2 year group will be discussed during the recruitment process.

The Ideal Candidate
The school is looking for a teacher who:

Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has successful experience teaching within KS2

Has a strong track record of raising attainment in English

Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge in reading and writing

Has previous subject leadership experience or is ready to step into a leadership role

Can inspire both pupils and colleagues

Has strong organisational and communication skills

Is committed to continuous school improvement
