Full-Time Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? We are working with a specialist education setting seeking a confident and committed Full-Time HLTA to support students with complex additional needs.
About the Role: As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, tailored support to students with a range of needs, while also taking the lead in delivering lessons and interventions when required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead small group sessions and deliver pre-planned lessons in the absence of a teacher
- Support students with complex needs including ASD, PMLD, and medical requirements
- Provide personal care and physical support where necessary
- Assist in specialist settings such as sensory rooms and hydrotherapy environments
- Contribute to planning, assessment, and tracking of student progress
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
