Role
- Lead and manage the English department, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision for English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, implementing effective intervention strategies where required.
- Support, coach and develop members of the English team.
- Drive improvements in attainment, progress and student outcomes.
- Lead curriculum planning, assessment and quality assurance within the department.
- Ensure high‑quality teaching practices are embedded across the team.
