The school is a small, community‑focused setting with low pupil numbers, allowing staff to build meaningful relationships with children and families and provide a truly personalised approach to learning. The Role

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across the setting, ensuring the highest standards of teaching, learning and safeguarding are maintained throughout the academic year.
  • Play a key role in leading the school through an important academic year, maintaining high standards while fostering a positive and nurturing culture.
  • Lead and support staff across the school.
  • Drive high standards within EYFS provision.
  • Support pupils with additional needs and ensure inclusive practice.
  • Maintain a positive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Work closely with governors, staff and families.
  • Oversee curriculum delivery, assessment and pupil progress.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations of the school effectively.
  • Support staff development and wellbeing.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven leadership experience within an EYFS setting.
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and lead a team effectively.
  • A passion for early years education and child development.
  • Either existing Headship experience or be an experienced EYFS Leader/Deputy ready to step up.
