The Role
- Supporting students with English as an Additional Language (EAL) in lessons across the curriculum
- Providing one-to-one and small group support to help students access learning
- Assisting with the development of students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Helping to adapt classroom materials to make learning more accessible
- Working with teachers to implement targeted language support strategies
- Encouraging student confidence and independence in the classroom
- Supporting students' integration into school life and the wider school community
- Monitoring and recording student progress and feedback
- Supporting pastoral and inclusion teams where needed
- Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Who the School is Looking For
- A degree or relevant experience working with young people
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A good understanding of or interest in language development and EAL support
- The ability to remain calm, patient, and encouraging when supporting learners
- A proactive and positive approach to supporting student progress
- Excellent relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for education and inclusion
- Previous experience in education, tutoring, mentoring, or language support is desirable but not essential
