Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a secondary school in East Dulwich to recruit a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering a future in teaching or with experience working with young people, who is looking to gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment.

Contract: Long-term / ongoing (with potential for extension)
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Support pupils to stay on task and engaged with their learning.
- Follow school policies and procedures at all times.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be confident managing behaviour in a classroom setting.
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be calm, organised and adaptable.
- Enjoy working with secondary-aged boys.
- Have experience working with young people (education, youth work, coaching or similar).
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree or relevant experience working with young people is desirable.
- Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or Teaching Assistant is advantageous but not essential.
- An interest in education or teacher training is highly desirable.
