The large and successful school based in Lewisham is looking for a Teaching Assistant/Drama Specialist to join them 5 days a week, in May 2026. This Lewisham based school caters for students from 5 to 11 years old with complex needs, including moderate and severe learning disabilities (MLD/SLD). Their vision, values and aims are embedded by pupils, parents, Governors and colleagues to enable as much inclusion in society as possible. The school and staff aim to give their pupils the skills and experience so that they can find meaningful employment, be that paid or voluntary. The curriculum is highly personalised and creative, aiming to develop pupil voice throughout all activities and lessons.

The Lewisham SEN School is looking for a Drama Specialist. You will be working in the Drama room with a range of ages and needs. It is important that you not only have experience working with SEN but also have a basic knowledge and love for Drama/acting.

  • Assisting within the Drama classroom
  • Experience supporting young people with special needs, ASC / MLD / SLD
  • Previous support work, TA or LSA work within a school or other child related experience
  • A caring and professional manner, willing to support with the personal care of pupils
  • Must have legal right to work in the UK
