The Headteacher is seeking an exceptional leader with a strong background in Key Stage 2 who is passionate about raising standards, developing staff and helping shape the next stage of the school's success.

Applications are welcomed from experienced Assistant Headteachers as well as outstanding Phase Leaders or experienced middle leaders who are ready to take the next step into senior leadership.

About the Role

As Assistant Headteacher, you will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to drive improvement across the school, with a particular focus on Key Stage 2.

You will lead by example, supporting outstanding teaching and learning while helping to shape the strategic direction of the school.

  • Leading teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
  • Supporting whole-school improvement priorities
  • Coaching and mentoring teachers to develop outstanding classroom practice
  • Monitoring pupil progress and using assessment data to raise attainment
  • Supporting curriculum development and ensuring high standards across the school
  • Promoting positive behaviour, safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
  • Working closely with staff, parents, governors and the wider school community

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Significant teaching experience within Key Stage 2
  • A proven track record of raising standards
  • Leadership experience as an Assistant Headteacher, Phase Leader, Year Group Leader or similar
  • Excellent knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum
  • The ability to inspire, motivate and develop colleagues
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills
  • A commitment to achieving the very best outcomes for every child
