Art / DT Technician - Full Time (5 Days per Week)

Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Art & Design Technology Technician looking for your next opportunity?

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Greenwich that prides itself on its positive working environment and commitment to staff development.

This is a full-time, five-day-per-week position, ideal for someone with previous experience in an Art and/or DT technician role and a strong practical knowledge of workshop and classroom support.

A relevant degree is preferred.

The Role

  • Prepare materials, equipment and resources for Art and DT lessons.
  • Maintain workshops, studios and specialist equipment to a high standard.
  • Support teachers and students during practical lessons where required.
  • Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, including COSHH and risk assessments.
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies and maintain equipment.
  • Assist with the preparation of displays, exhibitions and school events.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Previous experience working as an Art and/or DT Technician.
  • Strong practical knowledge across Art and Design Technology disciplines.
  • A relevant degree (preferred).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A commitment to supporting students in a creative learning environment.
