Are you an enthusiastic and energetic Sports Coach looking to inspire the next generation? We are seeking a motivated Sports Coach to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Liverpool. Working across a range of year groups, you will deliver engaging sports sessions, promote healthy lifestyles, and support pupils both in PE lessons and throughout the wider school day.

The Role

  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons and sports activities.
  • Support pupils of all abilities to participate, develop confidence, and enjoy physical activity.
  • Lead lunchtime and after-school sports clubs.
  • Assist teachers with classroom activities where required.
  • Encourage teamwork, resilience, and positive behaviour.
  • Support pupils with additional needs, adapting activities where appropriate.
  • Help organise school sporting events, competitions, and enrichment activities.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience coaching children or young people in a school or community setting.
  • A recognised coaching qualification (desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
  • The ability to motivate and engage pupils from a variety of backgrounds and abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Experience working with pupils with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs would be an advantage but is not essential.
