Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! We are seeking an experienced School Business Manager (SBM) for a primary school in North Liverpool on a full-time, permanent basis, starting in September 2026!

Main purpose

As a member of the Leadership Team, the SBM is directly accountable to the Headteacher for leading the strategy and operation of the business functions of our school including financial management, health and safety, human resources, compliance and administration. They will advise on and implement the day-to-day support that enables the school to operate effectively and efficiently, and that allows members of the leadership team and governors to focus on teaching and learning.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Educated to degree level - ideally in accountancy, business management or a related discipline
  • An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • A CV that must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • 5 GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science.
  • In-school experience in a similar role
  • Fluent level of English, spoken and written.
