Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a professional and highly organised School Administrative Receptionist to work in a busy school office environment. This is a term-time role (plus two weeks) offering a temp-to-perm pathway for the right candidate.
You will be the first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff, and external agencies, providing a warm, professional reception service while also delivering high-quality administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
Working hours: 07:30-16:30 or 08:00-17:00
Key responsibilities:
- Managing a busy reception desk, calls, emails, visitors, and sign-in systems
- Handling confidential and sensitive information in line with safeguarding and GDPR requirements
- Providing administrative support to senior leaders, teaching staff, and the wider office team
- Supporting school communications, correspondence, events, and record keeping
- Maintaining accurate electronic and paper filing systems
- Supporting compliance, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous reception or administrative experience
- Be professional, calm, and confident in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills
- Have strong IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; school systems desirable)
- Show a clear commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality
