Are you an inspiring teacher with a passion for supporting children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs? Successful candidates will initially join the school on a long‑term basis, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right person. Whether you already have experience within SEND or are looking to transition from a mainstream setting, you will be supported through high‑quality training and ongoing professional development.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and personalised lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with EHCP's
  • Creating a calm, supportive and inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, respected and ready to learn
  • Working closely with teaching assistant, SENCO and external professionals to provide the best possible outcome for every child
  • Monitoring progress and adapting, socially and emotionally
  • Promoting confidence, reliance and independence through positive relationships and consistent support
  • Encouraging pupils to overcome barriers to learning and celebrate their achievements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS
  • Has experience teaching in a primary, SEND or specialist education setting, or a strong desire to develop within SEMH education
  • Can adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Is empathetic, patient and committed to helping every child reach their full potential
  • Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a dedicated support staff team
