A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the South Ribble area is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Primary Teacher to join their supportive team. The successful candidate will have strong experience in phonics delivery and a proven ability to adapt teaching to meet a wide range of SEN needs within a mainstream KS1 setting. The school has been Ofsted rated 'Good', with strong leadership and a clear focus on inclusion and pupil development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging KS1 lessons aligned with the National Curriculum
- Deliver high-quality phonics sessions (Read Write Inc / Letters and Sounds experience desirable)
- Adapt learning to support pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, speech & language and SEMH needs)
- Create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment that promotes progress and wellbeing
- Track pupil progress and contribute to assessments and EHCP targets where required
- Work closely with the SENCO, support staff, and parents/carers
- Maintain strong behaviour management strategies across all learners
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong KS1 classroom teaching experience
- Proven phonics teaching experience
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a mainstream setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
