We are looking for a passionate, empathetic individual to support their pupils on a small-group basis.

The Role

This position bypasses the crowded mainstream classroom environment to focus entirely on high-impact, small-scale interventions. You will be working with classes made up of up to 5 pupils, giving you the unique opportunity to build strong rapport, recognise specific sensory or emotional triggers, and implement tailored behavioural support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilise your psychology background to understand complex human behaviour, trauma, and neurodiverse profiles.
  • Work on a dedicated small group basis to help pupils manage their emotions, develop social skills, and engage with learning.
  • Collaborate closely with class teachers, speech therapists, and internal mental health teams to deliver individual care plans.
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and structured environment tailored to the sensory needs of the pupils.

  • A degree in Psychology or a closely related social science discipline.
  • A genuine drive to support children facing social, emotional, and neurodiverse challenges.

  • Any prior experience (voluntary or paid) in youth work, mentoring, sports coaching, or care environments is highly advantageous.
