The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.

Salary: (dependent on experience) + Sleep-in payments + Overtime available

Location: Wolverhampton

Hours: Full-time | 40 hours per week | Shift work including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins + overtime is available.

We are seeking experienced, compassionate and resilient Level 3 Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team supporting children and young people with Learning Disabilities (LD) and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). The Role

As a Residential Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, child-centred care, promoting emotional wellbeing, safety and development. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help young people develop life skills, build positive relationships and achieve their individual goals. Every day is different, and you'll play an active role in supporting education, daily routines, recreational activities, family contact and independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, consistent and nurturing care in line with children's care plans.
  • Support children with Learning Disabilities, Autism, ADHD and Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.
  • Build trusting relationships that promote emotional resilience and positive behaviour.
  • Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to manage behaviours that challenge.
  • Promote education, independence, social skills and community participation.
  • Administer medication where trained and authorised.
  • Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports and care documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals and families.
  • Safeguard children and promote their welfare at all times.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision and continuous professional development.

Essential Requirements

  • Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications: Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare, or a recognised Level 3 qualification in Children Young People's Workforce, Health Social Care, Childcare, or another equivalent qualification that is accepted for working within children's residential care.
  • Experience supporting children or young people with Learning Disabilities, Autism, EBD or other complex needs.
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
  • A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
