Location: Salford

Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday), September Start

Salary: 95 - 100 PAYE per day (dependent on experience)

Hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

About the Role

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work closely with Primary Schools in Salford. You will work closely with teachers and other professionals to provide tailored support to students in a nurturing classroom. You will also work 1:1 with students with SEND across the class. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young learners while developing your own professional skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the delivery of learning activities and lessons for students with SEND.
  • Provide one-to-one support or work with small groups of students.
  • Help students develop their social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers.
  • Contribute to creating an inclusive, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

About You

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Experience working with SEND students is beneficial but not essential.
  • A positive and flexible approach with a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the individual needs of students.
