We\’re currently recruiting Level 2 Teaching Assistants to join a range of inclusive and forward‑thinking secondary schools across Northampton for an immediate start. About the Role:
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you\’ll work alongside teachers and the wider support team to provide tailored assistance to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. You\’ll play a vital role in promoting engagement, building confidence, and supporting learners who may have additional needs or require extra encouragement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teaching and learning in line with the national curriculum
- Working 1:1 or with small groups to assist with learning, behaviour, and engagement
- Providing targeted support for students with SEND or EHCPs
- Encouraging positive behaviour and maintaining a calm, focused classroom environment
- Assisting with classroom organisation, learning materials, and daily routines
- Building positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents
Who We\’re Looking For:
- Holders of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with young people in a school or youth setting
- Strong communication skills and a patient, supportive attitude
- Adaptable and confident in managing different classroom needs
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact
- Knowledge of safeguarding and behaviour management strategies (training provided if needed)
