Are you a passionate and nurturing early years educator? Do you hold a Level 3 childcare qualification and love helping the littlest learners take their very first steps in education? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a wonderful primary school in Leigh. This is a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2026, covering a maternity leave for a full academic year (12 months).

The Role

  • Supporting child-initiated play and delivering adult-led activities aligned with the EYFS curriculum.
  • Observing and assessing children's development, keeping track of their progress milestones.
  • Fostering a warm, inclusive, and encouraging classroom atmosphere.
  • Assisting with outdoor play, creative arts, and phonics/number work.
  • Managing personal care with dignity and respect.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience working within an EYFS or Nursery setting.
  • A creative, energetic, and patient approach to supporting young children.
  • Strong communication skills to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or the willingness to apply for a new one).
  • 2 professional references.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
