We are working in partnership with a well-regarded and inclusive secondary school in Leicester seeking enthusiastic English Teachers to start in either June 2026 or September 2026. This is a full-time opportunity, ideally offered on a permanent basis, however fixed-term contracts and long-term supply placements will also be considered. The role is suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop within a supportive and ambitious environment.
- Teach engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
- Plan and deliver creative, inclusive lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Encourage discussion, interpretation, and creative thinking through literature, poetry, and drama
- Support extracurricular activities such as writing clubs, debating, or school productions
- Holds QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) and a degree in English or a related subject
- Strong subject knowledge in both English Language and Literature
- Passionate about making English engaging, accessible, and enjoyable for all students
- Confident classroom practitioner with high expectations for behaviour and achievement
