Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour Support Mentor to join a well-respected school in Leicester. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting young people and helping them to achieve their full potential within education.

The successful candidate will provide 1:1 support for a student with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who displays challenging behaviours. You will work closely with the school's pastoral and inclusion teams to implement tailored strategies that encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement in learning.

  • Provide consistent 1:1 mentoring and emotional support to the student throughout the school day.
  • Implement and monitor behaviour support plans under the guidance of the SENCO and Behaviour Lead.
  • Experience working in a school or educational setting is essential - applications from candidates without this experience cannot be considered.
  • A background supporting young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Experience within an Alternative Provision (AP) or Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) is highly desirable.
  • Team Teach or similar behaviour management training would be advantageous.
