Are you an accomplished Cover Supervisor or Teacher who is looking for a new challenge in an excellent school, providing key learning to students who need additional support with core subjects? Would you be keen on joining a school in North London with excellent facilities, an inclusive ethos, and commitment to providing the best possible chance for all students to succeed?
Tradewind Recruitment are proudly partnering with this well-established Haringey school in helping them find a committed practitioner who can help take student learning to new heights. Based in small groups, this Supervisor will elevate student progress and provide a pathway to success for students who need a bit more help.
This Haringey school has a real community feel, and is easily accessible by public transport, with the added benefit of onsite parking too. They have seen a remarkable drive-in attainment over the past 10 or so years thanks to a strong leadership team and a relentless pursuit of high standards and progress. This hasn’t however been at the expense of the values and atmosphere of the school, with visitors remarking how friendly, happy and supportive the school is to both students and staff alike. The school ethos of respect and inclusion is evident throughout, with students who are bright, inquisitive and keen to learn, and teachers who enjoy what they do! Their most recent OFSTED was ‘Outstanding’, and it is a school with a lot of pride in their students and wider community. Unsurprisingly they are oversubscribed on a yearly basis and staff turnover here is low with a loyal and engaged teaching base.
Although behaviour at this school is largely impeccable, and very well managed, there are some students who may need some more support in this area. The Learning Resource Centre is where students are put into small groups for additional support. You will be responsible for delivering lessons, not preparing them, with materials put together by each HOD. So no specialist background is needed in any particular subject, just good all round teaching style and ability to deliver. The school need someone who is passionate about education, who can work independently at a high standard and seek ways to develop the curriculum/department, as ideas are always welcomed at this school.
