Tradewind Recruitment are seeking Learning Support Assistants to work within specialist SEND schools and alternative provisions across Northwich from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential. We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in education, support work, care, residential settings, youth work or similar environments.

The schools support pupils with a range of needs including:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
  • ADHD
  • Speech and Language Difficulties
  • Moderate and Severe Learning Difficulties
  • Complex Additional Needs

The Role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils within the classroom environment
  • Deliver targeted interventions and small group support
  • Work closely with teachers and SEND professionals
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and social skills
  • Support behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
  • Contribute to a safe and inclusive learning environment

  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Experience within education, care or support settings is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, adaptable and resilient approach
  • Commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
