About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated and reliable Learning Support Assistants to work across a range of primary schools throughout Kingston and the surrounding areas on a day-to-day and short-term basis. We have regular demand for Learning Support Assistants across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, supporting pupils both within the classroom and through 1:1 or small-group activities. You will work closely with class teachers and other support staff to help pupils engage with their learning, develop confidence and make progress. Depending on the school and role, you may support pupils with additional learning needs, provide targeted interventions or assist with classroom activities. Schools value Learning Support Assistants who are patient, proactive and adaptable, with a genuine passion for helping children succeed. What we are looking for
- Previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or educational setting
- Experience supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
- Experience providing 1:1 and/or small-group support is desirable
- A patient, caring and encouraging approach to supporting children's learning
- Adaptable, reliable and confident when working in different school environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- SEN experience is desirable but not essential
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Up-to-date safeguarding and child protection knowledge
