Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Bolton to recruit a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 and is passionate about helping young people succeed both academically and socially.

The role will involve:

  • Supporting teachers in the classroom to deliver engaging and effective lessons
  • Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with SEND and EAL needs
  • Assisting with behaviour management and promoting positive learning environments
  • Supporting pupils to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential

Essential requirements (applications without these will not be considered):

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Previous experience working in schools or education settings
  • Strong understanding of secondary school expectations and classroom practice

Highly desirable:

  • Proven experience supporting SEND learners
  • Experience working with pupils who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL)
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour
