We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils within welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary schools across Lambeth - specifically, Brixton, Oval, Kennington. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who thrive on building positive relationships, supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential, and becoming a valued part of a school community.

You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed.

The Role:
  • Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil
  • Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Dysregulation
  • Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
  • Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
  • Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
  • Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
  • Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability)
