We are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND 1:1 Teaching Assistants to support pupils within welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary schools across Lambeth. You will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with a variety of additional needs, helping to create a safe, engaging and nurturing learning environment where every child can succeed.
The Role:
- Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil
- Be confident to support SEND, including ASD, ADHD, Emotional Disregulation
- Support learning, emotional regulation, and social development
- Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP targets and support plans
- Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- At least 6 months experience supporting children with additional needs
- Ideally hold minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
- Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
- Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and well-being
- Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
- Available Monday to Friday
Pay: £93 per day for candidates with a minimum of 3 months experience supporting children or young people in an educational, care or SEND setting. £105 per day for candidates who hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have over 3 years experience supporting pupils with SEND including ASC, ADHD, SEMH or SLD or experience with personal care.
