Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with multiple secondary schools across Northampton who are looking to appoint motivated and enthusiastic Unqualified Teachers on a full-time basis, starting ASAP.
These opportunities offer temporary positions with the potential to become permanent, providing an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to establish themselves within secondary education.
The roles would be well suited to graduates, Cover Supervisors, Teaching Assistants, tutors, sports coaches, youth workers, mentors, or aspiring teachers who are keen to build their classroom experience and take the next step towards a career in education.
You will work alongside experienced teaching staff and school leaders, gaining valuable experience in classroom delivery, behaviour management, student engagement, and supporting pupil progress.
These opportunities are particularly suitable for candidates considering a PGCE, SCITT, School Direct, or another teacher training route, while also providing the potential to secure a longer-term position within a school.
The Role
Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4.
Lead whole-class learning when covering for the regular classroom teacher.
Establish and maintain a calm, structured, and positive learning environment.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively and consistently.
Encourage students to remain engaged, focused, and motivated.
Support pupils with their academic progress and personal development.
Build positive and professional relationships with students and colleagues.
Work alongside qualified teachers and support staff to provide effective learning and pastoral support.
Adapt to different school environments and teaching requirements.
