We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Key Worker to join our compassionate pastoral team at a thriving secondary school in Blackpool. As a Key Worker, you will be responsible for providing tailored pastoral support and guidance to a small cohort of pupils, helping them overcome barriers to learning and thrive both academically and socially. Your work will be crucial in ensuring our students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. Key Responsibilities Provide one-to-one and small group support to a caseload of identified students. Act as a trusted point of contact for students, parents, and carers, building strong relationships to improve communication and parental engagement. Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), contributing to safeguarding and child protection procedures. Monitor student progress, attendance, and well-being, implementing targeted interventions where needed. Liaise with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure a coordinated approach to student support. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a resilient and positive individual who is passionate about pastoral care. You will have a natural ability to build rapport with young people and a deep understanding of their needs. Essential Requirements: Relevant experience working with young people, preferably in a school or youth work setting. A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
