We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join their team from September 2026. Working alongside teachers and other support staff, you will play an important role in delivering high-quality classroom support, helping pupils stay engaged in their learning and reach their full potential.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will support teaching and learning across the classroom, working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and help pupils achieve their potential. You will contribute to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children feel motivated, supported, and confident to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and improve outcomes
- Assist with preparing classroom resources and maintaining an organised learning environment
- Deliver targeted interventions to support pupil progress
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote a nurturing classroom culture
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and strong learning habits
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers where appropriate
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support children's development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a primary school or educational setting
- A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- A positive attitude and genuine passion for helping children succeed
