Are you a passionate Level 2 Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Kettering area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced TA who is committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.
The Role
As a Level 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
- Assisting with the delivery of differentiated learning activities
- Supporting pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
- Building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
