We are working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Kettering that is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join their team from September 2026 on a maternity cover basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator who is passionate about inspiring young learners and supporting every child to achieve their full potential. This role offers the chance to join a supportive school community on a fixed-term basis, with the possibility of further opportunities for the right candidate.

Role Highlights:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the National Curriculum
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
  • Support both academic progress and pupils' social and emotional development
  • Differentiating learning to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities
  • Monitor, assess, and track pupil progress, providing clear and effective feedback
  • Promote positive behaviour, independence, confidence, and resilience
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, teaching assistants, and parents to support pupil outcomes
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, trips, and events

About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting (KS1 or KS2 desirable)
  • Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
  • A nurturing, enthusiastic, and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
  • A strong commitment to raising pupil attainment and supporting whole-child development
  • ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive full support and mentoring
