SEN College Grimsby Students aged 16-25 SEND / SEN / SEMH. Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a specialist SEN college in Grimsby to recruit a full-time IT & Media Studies Teacher to support learners aged 16-25 with SEND, SEN and SEMH needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate and adaptable teacher who is committed to supporting young people with additional needs in a supportive, inclusive college environment.
The Role
- Full-time position based at the Grimsby campus
- Teaching IT & Media Studies
- Working with students operating at Entry Level 1 and Entry Level 2
- Teaching small classes (up to 10 students)
- A mix of class-based teaching, small group work and some 1:1 support
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
- Supporting students with both academic progress and personal development
- Working closely with support staff and other professionals to ensure positive outcomes
- Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, behaviour support and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or significant relevant teaching experience)
- Have experience working with SEND / SEN / SEMH learners (in schools, colleges or alternative provision)
- Be confident adapting lessons and approaches to meet a wide range of needs
- Be patient, resilient and nurturing, with a strong understanding of inclusive practice
- Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS
- Have the legal right to work in the UK
