The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to help pupils reach their full potential both academically and socially.

The Role

  • Support pupils within the classroom to maximise learning opportunities
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions where required
  • Assist the class teacher in preparing engaging learning activities
  • Encourage positive behaviour and promote pupil wellbeing
  • Support children with additional learning needs when necessary
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
  • Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • A minimum of 6 months' experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a UK primary school (essential)
  • Experience supporting children across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A calm, patient and proactive approach
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
