Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: North London Secondary School
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm

Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their potential? We're recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a fantastic secondary school in North London. The school supports students aged 11-16 with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties. Classes are small and nurturing, with a strong focus on inclusion, independence, and wellbeing.
What you'll be doing
- 1:1 and small group support: Work alongside students in lessons across the curriculum
- Personalised learning: Help adapt resources and deliver interventions to meet individual EHCP targets
- Behaviour and emotional support: Be a calm, consistent presence and help students develop social and self-regulation skills
- Collaboration: Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and support staff to track progress
- Enrichment: Support with break times, trips, and extra-curricular activities
What we're looking for
- Experience supporting secondary age students with SEN in a school setting
- Patience, resilience, and a positive, can-do attitude
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Team player who can also use initiative
- Team-Teach or MAPA training is a bonus, but not essential. Training can be provided via The National College.
