Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting enthusiastic and reliable Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools throughout the London Borough of Islington from September.
Whether you're looking to work one or two days a week alongside other commitments, or you're available five days a week and want regular supply work, we have flexible opportunities to suit your availability.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons using pre-planned resources.
- Cover classes across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, from Nursery through to Year 6.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Follow school policies and procedures.
- Support pupils with their learning and development.
- Adapt quickly to different schools, classes and classroom environments.
- Build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
- Most day-to-day supply bookings involve pre-planned lessons, meaning there is generally minimal planning and marking required.
We Are Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent experience teaching within UK primary schools.
- Confidence teaching across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A flexible, reliable and adaptable approach.
- The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- ECTs are welcome to apply, as well as experienced teachers and those returning to teaching.
