Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of welcoming and inclusive schools in the Wellingborough area who are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The role includes:
- Providing 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
- Supporting pupils both academically and emotionally to help them access the curriculum
- Working closely with class teachers, SENDCOs, and other support staff
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive learning outcomes
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)
- Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Is reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
