Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Pay: 90-95 per day

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a number of welcoming and inclusive schools in the Wellingborough area who are seeking dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The role includes:

  • Providing 1:1 or small-group support for pupils with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
  • Supporting pupils both academically and emotionally to help them access the curriculum
  • Working closely with class teachers, SENDCOs, and other support staff
  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
  • Supporting behaviour management and promoting positive learning outcomes

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children or young people with SEND (school-based or transferable experience welcomed)
  • Is patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Is reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress
  • Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service
