Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a 2-form entry mainstream primary school in Southall to recruit an experienced Intervention Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time role initially running until the end of the Summer Term, with the possibility of extension depending on school needs and performance. This role is ideal for a confident TA with strong experience in phonics, literacy, numeracy and SEN support, who is comfortable leading small group interventions across the school.

The Role
As an Intervention Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Deliver targeted phonics, literacy and maths interventions across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Lead small group work and occasional 1:1 support.
- Support pupils with SEN and additional learning needs.
- Deliver structured phonics sessions, ideally using Read Write Inc.
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupil progress.
- Provide feedback on pupil engagement and outcomes.
- Support positive behaviour and engagement during intervention sessions.
This is a school-wide intervention role, requiring flexibility and confidence working across different year groups.
Requirements
The school is looking for a candidate who:
- Has proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in UK primary schools.
- Has strong knowledge of phonics, ideally Read Write Inc.
- Demonstrates solid literacy and numeracy skills.
- Has experience supporting pupils with SEN.
- Is confident leading small group interventions independently.
- Is reliable, professional and able to commit until at least the end of the Spring term.
Pay and Contract
- Full-time, Monday to Friday.
- Contract until end of Summer term, with potential to extend.
- PAYE employment.
- Competitive daily rate based on experience.
