Maths Teacher
Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne
Start Date: ASAP or September 2026 | Full-Time

Salary: £140 - £261.79 per day (DOE)
Tradewind Recruitment is proud to be working with a number of secondary schools across Newcastle Upon Tyne and the surrounding area, who are actively seeking Maths Teachers to join their departments ASAP or from September 2026. Considering applications for both temporary, short term, part time, full time and even permanent positions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Teaching engaging Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with A-Level options available in some schools)
- Planning creative lessons that develop numeracy, reasoning, and real-world problem‑solving skills
- Adapting teaching to meet the needs of mixed‑ability learners
- Working collaboratively within a supportive Maths department to share resources and best practice
- Supporting or leading extra‑curricular activities such as Maths clubs, interventions, or STEM projects
About You:
- A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) specialising in Mathematics
- Confident teaching the national curriculum and preparing students for GCSEs (and potentially A-Levels)
- Passionate about making Maths engaging, relevant, and accessible
- Committed to helping all students achieve their potential
- A team player who contributes positively to school life
- Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are warmly encouraged to apply – comprehensive support will be provided throughout your induction.
