The successful candidates will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and behaviour in the absence of the regular class teacher.
The Role
Delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Providing general classroom cover across a variety of secondary school subjects
Following pre-prepared lesson plans and adapting teaching approaches where required
Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment
Supporting students of varying abilities and learning needs
Encouraging students to remain focused, motivated and engaged throughout lessons
Assessing student understanding and providing constructive feedback where appropriate
Maintaining high expectations for student behaviour, participation and achievement
Following school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and behaviour management
Working cooperatively with teaching staff, support teams and senior leaders
Adapting confidently to different school settings, year groups and classroom environments
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
Previous experience teaching within a secondary school setting
Confident delivering lessons across a range of subjects at KS3 and KS4
Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
