Humanities Teacher – Secondary School 📍 Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire 📅 Start Date: ASAP 📚 Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Supply (with potential for a permanent role) 💷 Salary: £153 – £211 per day (depending on experience and pay scale) Are you a passionate and versatile Humanities Teacher looking for your next teaching opportunity? This full-time, long-term position offers an excellent opportunity to teach across the Humanities faculty, including subjects such as History, Geography, and RE (dependent on your specialism and experience). About the Role: As a Humanities Teacher, you will: Teach a range of Humanities subjects across Key Stages 3 and 4 Deliver creative, engaging lessons that support all learners Differentiate content to meet the needs of students with a variety of abilities Take part in department planning, assessment, and reporting Promote high standards of behaviour and a love of learning in your classroom Contribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities The School: A well-led and inclusive secondary school with a strong sense of community Supportive senior leadership and a dedicated Humanities department Excellent behaviour and pastoral systems already in place Easily accessible from surrounding areas including Staffordshire, Cheshire, and Shropshire The Ideal Candidate Will: Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification Have experience teaching Humanities subjects in a UK secondary school setting Be confident planning and delivering lessons in at least one core Humanities subject (History, Geography or RE) Be passionate about fostering curiosity and critical thinking in young people Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills Have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
