We are seeking an organised, proactive, and people-focused HR Manager to join a school in Northamptonshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified HR professional who enjoys working in a varied role and is confident operating within evolving systems and processes. While previous school-based experience is not essential, candidates must hold a CIPD qualification and be comfortable managing a broad HR remit in a fast-paced, changing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting staff, leadership, and day-to-day operations, helping ensure the smooth running of HR and administrative functions across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing absence and attendance, including monitoring, reporting, and follow-up
  • Coordinating recruitment and onboarding, including adverts, shortlisting, checks, and contracts
  • Leading staff induction and training administration, ensuring compliance and accurate records
  • Supporting performance management processes and staff wellbeing
  • Attending leadership and staff meetings, taking accurate notes and actions
  • Maintaining HR systems and personnel records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Supporting policy implementation and HR compliance
  • Providing general administrative and organisational support to the senior leadership team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • CIPD qualification (essential)
  • Strong HR generalist experience
  • Confidence using HR systems and digital platforms, with the ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Excellent organisational, administrative, and time-management skills
