We are seeking an experienced and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a dynamic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Ilford, Redbridge. This is a full‑time role supporting students with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver planned learning activities to individuals and small groups
- Support the planning and delivery of an adapted curriculum
- Cover lessons when required and support teaching staff
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
- Support students’ emotional and social development
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment
Requirements
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a PRU, SEMH or alternative provision setting (essential)
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
