Brickwork Lecturer
Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a Bricklaying Tutor to work at a local College in Hull, starting ASAP and continuing on an ongoing basis until a permanent appointment can be made.
With this being a vacant position ideally the successful candidate would transfer from a temporary position until a permanent position after 10 weeks.
This is a full time booking, five days per week, but part time options may be available for the right candidate.
Payment for this position will be between £24 and £40 per hour.
Typical working hours will be 8:30 - 4:00PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, high-quality teaching that motivates and challenges learners of varying ages and abilities.
- Plan, prepare and deliver lessons, schemes of work and learning resources using Canvas and other digital platforms.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate learner records.
- Participate in Internal Verification (IV/IQA) and quality assurance processes.
- Deliver academic tutorials and provide pastoral support where required.
- Support student recruitment through interviews, open events, enrolment sessions and school engagement activities.
- Maintain up-to-date industry knowledge through continuous professional development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, employers and awarding organisations to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
The setting is accessible via public transport from all areas of Hull, and there is a large onsite car park for those candidates that do drive.
There is also a nearby car park if the car park is full.
The college are willing to accept applications from candidates without a teaching qualification who are willing to undertake the training while working.
