Head of Year Vacancy – Secondary School in Blackley We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head of Year to join our secondary school in Blackley . This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the pastoral care and academic progress of our students. Position : Head of Year Location : Blackley Hours : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Salary : Up to £120 per day Contract : Ongoing with the potential for permanent placement for the right candidate Key Responsibilities : Lead and manage the year group to ensure high standards of pastoral care and student wellbeing Support and mentor students through academic, personal, and social development Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and senior leadership to monitor and improve student progress Organize year group activities and manage any behavioral concerns Help implement school policies to ensure a safe and productive learning environment The Ideal Candidate : Previous experience working in a leadership role within a secondary school (Head of Year experience is desirable) Strong understanding of student welfare and the challenges students face Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
