Tradewind Recruitment is working with welcoming and well-regarded secondary schools in Harrow seeking a Study Supervisor (Behaviour Support) to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis, starting ASAP. This is a key role supporting students both academically and behaviourally, ensuring a calm, focused learning environment.
Study Supervisor - Role OverviewAs a Study Supervisor with a behaviour support focus, you will supervise pre-set work during teacher absences and provide structured support for students who require additional behavioural guidance. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising whole classes during teacher absence, ensuring students remain on task
- Managing behaviour effectively in line with the school's behaviour policy
- Supporting students who may be removed from lessons due to behavioural issues
- Delivering structured intervention or reflection sessions
- Providing targeted support to students with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and accountability
- Recording incidents and reporting concerns to pastoral and safeguarding teams
- Working closely with Heads of Year, SENCOs, and behaviour leads
- Upholding safeguarding procedures at all times
- Previous experience working in a secondary school setting (Essential)
- Strong behaviour management and classroom supervision skills
- Experience supporting students with SEMH or behavioural needs (Desirable)
- Confident, calm, and resilient approach
- Ability to build positive relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
- Good communication and record-keeping skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
