We are seeking a dedicated General Science Teacher to join this Client, a highly regarded secondary academy in Harrow, for a full-time maternity cover role starting in March 2025. As a Teacher of General Science, you will:
- Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive Science department to develop curriculum and resources.
- Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Science.
- Contribute to extracurricular Science activities, such as clubs, competitions, or school trips.
Person Specification & Requirements:
- To be considered for this role, you must:
- Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- Have a strong academic background in Science and experience teaching the subject at secondary level.
- Be an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who can engage students and foster a passion for Science.
- Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Be available to start in March 2025 for a 1-year maternity cover contract.
